Care4teeth.org is specially designed for carers in residential and home environments. This is a free resource to help deliver optimal dental care for individuals with various conditions. Featuring user-friendly tools and resources, it empowers carers to maintain excellent oral hygiene, enhancing the well-being of those they support.

Based on feedback from care home managers in Devon, we’ve developed a basic course consisting of six five-minute segments designed to enhance mouth care for residents.
Many of the public become caregivers, and feel too embarrassed to ask for help. The current course can be found on the current public facing dentalhealthservice.net website.

Reducing risk of Pneumonias
Every year, over 14,000 dentures are lost in care homes and hospitals. Creating comfortable false teeth for the frail and elderly is particularly challenging. When patients lose dentures they are accustomed to, achieving satisfactory results can be nearly impossible, often requiring at least four weekly visits and incurring significant costs—potentially putting you at risk of liability.

To avoid these challenges, consider having the dentures scanned before they are lost. By enabling this service, you not only improve care but also enhance your profits.

I attended this annual conference in February 2025 where I met American professors of public dental health and therapists who deliver care. Our dental nurses can significantly improve access to care and overall health.

Regular dental cleanings by a trained nurse who can scan dentures, take photos, and perform radiographs at home can make a significant difference. They just need the right training and to be made aware of their potential to improve your services and their income.

Help me help you enhance the care of your residents!

I made this website 8 years ago when my dad entered a dementia unit. I've updated it to include some options that weren't available back then.

This is to try promote all our wellbeing,
something he did throughout his life.
