Having a healthy lifestyle involves being mobile and active.
Along with a poor diet, a sedentary lifestyle makes you more prone to type 2 diabetes.
In fact, if you look at all the things that have an adverse effect on your gums, they all have a negative impact on your life expectancy. Why take the risk?
Look after your gums, and you will live longer, and enjoy life more.

Another negative effect on your gums is stress.
It comes in many forms, and at any age.
This is a link I can think of for help if you or a friend needs it.

You may want to try a course on mindfullness via futurelearn , or on one of the many apps such as headspace .

This is an excellent current resource published with appropriate references in 2021 from the States. Like Covid, Oral disease does not adhere to national borders, and prevention and treatment advice for the vast majority of the world is largely the same.
In the States we were known for our British Smile, but not in a good way!
However, we still refer to the Hollywood Smile. If you want one, press on the Byte, Bite get it?
