It’s almost impossible to make a new set of dentures for someone with later-stage dementia, so plan ahead:
- Ask your dentist to make a named spare set.
- Ask a dentist or lab to add a name to the current set.
- For partial dentures, keep a named photo copy with the care home.
- You can add a name to the smooth denture surface with a pen and clear varnish (it wears off and needs repeating).
Support, for both of you
Good support protects the person you care for — and you.
