This video highlights the importance of improving access to dental care in care homes to maintain residents' oral health. Many residents are satisfied with their comfortable dentures, but losing them is costly. With current technology, we can create identical replica dentures using digital scans, allowing us to send prescriptions to licensed labs for replacements. Registered dental nurses can perform this in care homes, supporting oral health champions and advising on care, ultimately helping to reduce life-threatening respiratory diseases among residents.
