These are the slides I made initially for a presentation for the American mobile and Teledentistry Alliance. Its in two parts as there should be a break for questions, and some reflection.

This also relates an attempt to reduce periodontal disease through my career as a general dentist trying to navigate a service through a poorly focussed and financed health system.

This was a presentation I sent to the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry in June 26, as I was unable to attend. The main theme was "Oral Health in a Digital Age".

This video explores the development of a practical platform to help dental professionals establish and grow an Oral Health Service with the minimum possible administrative burden for both the profession and the public.

The platform is designed to provide trusted guidance, practical resources and AI-powered support to help users develop and maintain their services with confidence. Built to evolve over time, it can be updated regularly to reflect changes in regulations, professional guidance and best practice, while also being adapted to meet the specific requirements of different countries, states and healthcare systems.
The aim is to create a sustainable, collaborative resource that makes it easier to deliver preventive oral healthcare where it is needed most.

This series shows the development of my explainer videos over time.

The technology has changed rapidly, from early animations and dental apps to AI-supported video content. However, when it comes to prevention, the message has changed very little: we still need to help people act earlier, before small dental problems become pain, tooth loss or emergencies.
Short, funny and engaging videos may be one of the best ways to reach the public. Most people now watch content on their own phones, so that is where oral health education needs to be.

“Prevention needs to be in people’s pockets, not just in dental surgeries.”

This promotes health advocacy, and a few of the barriers to health care.

This was a talk I gave to the American Mobile and Teledentistry Alliance in Portland in 2025. It was an outline of Promoting Public Prevention in the UK mainly within the NHS.
